About the Dogon people, who have passed down the Sirius myth through generations

▲ The Dogon People

An ethnic group living in West Africa, in the Niger River region of the Republic of Mali, around the Bandiagara Escarpment.

They are the Dogon people.

Until French ethnologists first brought them to the outside world's attention in the 1930s, they had long maintained little contact with the outside world, preserving their unique culture, beliefs, and view of the universe.

And today,

the reason the Dogon people have attracted worldwide attention

is

“they possessed advanced knowledge of the universe before it was proven by science.”

This is what sets them apart.

⸻

▲ The “Sirius Myth” passed down by the Dogon

Since ancient times, the Dogon people have

passed down special accounts of Sirius.

They called Sirius A

“Sigui Tolo,”

and said that beside it

was a tiny star invisible to the naked eye

called “Po Tolo.”

To their astonishment, “Po Tolo”

matches the characteristics of “Sirius B,” which cannot be seen with the naked eye.

⸻

▲ Astonishing knowledge that matches science

The Dogon people

describe Po Tolo as follows:

・A very small star

・Extremely dense

・Orbiting Sigui Tolo in an elliptical orbit

・Completing an orbit roughly every 50 years

These facts match what astronomy has established today:

Sirius B is a “white dwarf,” the remnant of a star that has reached the end of its life

And that it orbits Sirius A in an elliptical orbit, completing one revolution roughly every 50 years

is in complete agreement with modern astronomical observations.

They also

・Sirius A is larger than the Sun

・Sirius B is about the size of Earth

These claims, too, are said to have been passed down since ancient times.

Why did the Dogon people, who had neither telescopes nor scientific observation tools,

know of its existence since ancient times?

According to tradition, they learned everything from a particular life-form.

⸻

▲ The being from the heavens: the Nommo

In the Dogon people's Sirius myth,

a life-form called

“Nommo”

appears.

Nommo descended to Earth in the distant past

and was a being that came from “Sirius B”

・Astronomy

・Mathematics

・Science

・Knowledge of civilization

It is said that Nommo imparted these to the Dogon people.

And they are described as

a species with the appearance of fish or aquatic creatures

.

It is astonishing that they are said to have imparted advanced knowledge, but what is especially noteworthy is

“an appearance like fish or aquatic creatures”

In other words, their connection to “water”

As we saw in our previous discussion of the connection between Egypt and Sirius, Sirius was a bringer of water.

Here, too, the key term “water” appears.

The tradition that the Dogon people possessed advanced astronomical knowledge, especially specialized knowledge of Sirius,

and received it from beings who came from Sirius B serves as evidence that this account is true.

Furthermore, as with Egypt, the connection to “water”

reveals a certain consistency.

⸻

▲ The continuing “Sirius worship”

Even today,

many Dogon rituals and ceremonies

are conducted with “Sirius” as their point of reference.

In other words, for the Dogon people, Sirius

is not merely a “star,”

but can be considered a source of civilization, knowledge, and spirituality.

And,the “Siriusian traits” espoused by Kinji-datsu

also show

many points of similarity.

⸻

▲ Sirius number “25”

Within the connection between the Dogon people and Sirius, a certain number emerges

“Sirius number 25”

Today,

the population of the Republic of Mali is 25 million

and the Dogon population is estimated at 250,000.

To a degree that seems beyond coincidence,

the number “25” mysteriously appears among things deeply connected to Sirius.

At Kinji-datsu,

we see this match not as mere coincidence

but as one of the “keys”

indicating a deep connection with Sirius.
