Sirius Ley Line

The Sirius Ley Line — The Mystical Connection Between the Stars and Sacred Sites

I now understand why, one night, I felt as though I had received a “GO sign” from the Dragon Deity of Mitsumine Shrine.

It was because of the mysterious connection between Mitsumine Shrine and Sirius.

July 2024

Through a fortunate connection, I had the opportunity to visit Mitsumine Shrine, a famous spiritual power spot in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture.

Located deep in the mountains, it is a profoundly sacred place surrounded by nature.

I climbed the well-maintained approach and prayed before the main sanctuary.

When I happened to look down,

I saw a pattern that looked like a dragon deity.

On the stone pavement to the left of Mitsumine Shrine’s worship hall, there is a spot where a pattern resembling a dragon’s face appears when the stones get wet. It is said to have attracted attention in 2012, the Year of the Dragon 🐉, when the pattern was seen as the shape of a dragon.

After finishing my visit and heading home,

I’m sorry if this sounds a little disrespectful, but I felt as though an incredibly long, slender dragon deity, carrying sacred energy, was following me.

I expressed my gratitude and arrived home that day without incident.

A few days later,

while I was at home, I had the feeling that something was approaching from the direction of the balcony.

I opened the window to see what it was, and

a dragon deity was right in front of me. As I expressed my joy and gratitude, I also sensed that it was the Dragon Deity of Mitsumine Shrine.

About two years passed. During that time, I learned and experienced many things related to shrines and temples, started KINJITO, and gained knowledge and experiences related to Sirius.

May 2026

One night, while I was apprenticing at a temple,

I felt as though I had received a “GO sign” from the Dragon Deity of Mitsumine Shrine I had encountered back then.

The feeling was so strong that I began searching for its meaning and reason, and discovered that

in front of the torii gate and the inner sanctuary of Mitsumine Shrine sit wolves, revered as messengers of the gods.

At Mitsumine Shrine, wolves are cherished as divine messengers, known as gokenzoku.

Meanwhile, Sirius, shining exceptionally brightly in the night sky, is a star in the constellation Canis Major and is called the “Dog Star” in English.

Furthermore, in China, Sirius has been known since ancient times as Tianlangxing (“Heavenly Wolf Star”), a star bearing the name of a wolf.

In other words, wolves and Sirius are connected. Mitsumine Shrine enshrines the wolf, a symbol of Sirius, and is located high in the mountains, far from the city. It is highly possible that in ancient times, it was a place of worship for a star—and that star was Sirius.

A distant star in the heavens, and a shrine deep in the mountains of Japan that symbolizes the wolf.

Across time and distance, they shared a mysterious common thread.

What’s more, several sacred sites across Japan have deep ties to Sirius.

① Izumo Taisha (Shimane Prefecture)

② Chion-ji Temple, Amanohashidate (Kyoto Prefecture)

③ Hokke-ji Temple, Suwa (Nagano Prefecture)

④ Mitsumine Shrine (Saitama Prefecture)

⑤ Inner Shrine of Kashima Jingu (Ibaraki Prefecture)

When these sites are connected,

a straight line running from west to east appears.

Following this connection, I found that Mitsumine Shrine also lies along this mystical line.

Learning about these connections revealed why I had received the “GO sign” from the Dragon Deity of Mitsumine Shrine.

For this reason, I call the line connecting these five sacred sites the “Sirius Ley Line.”

It is impossible not to feel a profound sense of mystery in discovering the symbols and legends shared by shrines and temples throughout Japan, all through their connection to the one star, Sirius.

The stars, the earth, and the prayers passed down through generations.

KINJITO will continue exploring these mysteries, reflecting on such invisible connections along the way.
